  2. I just thought it sounded low because it’s way less than what I pay for car payment, insurance, and gas per month. I would think it would be higher in order to make sense. Doing the math myself–let’s say…

    [(what I financed – what I could probably get for the car now)/how many months I’ve owned it)] + monthly insurance premium + actual gas purchases per month =

    ~$1,400 per month.

    *note: I was really surprised to see that the depreciation on the car per month I’ve owned it was within five dollars of my monthly payment. Which must mean that I just hit the point where the thing is finally worth more than I owe on it. Hoo-ray!

  3. Mine came out to $225 but I think that is a bit high. I don’t think the $.50 per mile is quite accurate.
