I just finished boxing up our second replacemet phone. Fortunately, the piece of crap died just a couple days before our warranty was up. That’s about the only good news that comes from the incident. It appears the cellular network has developed some form of intelligence and has heard all the disparaging things I say about phones, phone companies, and phone users. In this world gone mad, you don’t hang up the phone, the phone hangs up you….
Anyway, I’ve now lost all the phone numbers that were previously in it. So please call us or send us your phone number if you think we should have it. I swear I’ll write them down or something.
Michelle, Scott, Sarah, the dogs, and I all spent the weekend on the beach in Netarts, OR. It was a great time, and nothing erases stress like waves lapping at the beach. We stayed at the mouth of Netarts bay, so we were able to watch the constant eb & flow of the tide as it filled and drained out of the Bay. I didn’t get much of a chance to read, but we did manage to walk on the beach, hit rocks, throw sticks for the dogs, kayak across the bay, cook, eat, play games, look at stuff, and burn some cookies.
It was a lot of fun, and I’ve put some pictures in the gallery.

no, blogger isn’t an option
I’ve never called in sick to work. I’ve missed precious few days of school for sickness as well. But yesterday I had a cold that was making it difficult to read, speak with people on the phone, and be patient. I meant to go home early and take some sick time, but the break in work never arrised. Now I’m contemplating calling in because my eyes hurt, my nose is running, and I keep coughing up pieces from the sets of alien movies. Too bad its already going to be a four day week.

I left the lights on in my car and the battery died, so I couldn’t go home for lunch. Sadly, I had to buy a crap for ingredients sandwhich, which my mouth still reeks of. (bah! bad onions) However, while surfing during lunch, I found the 25 best Simpsons Episodes list at Entertainment Weekly. What great memories. Sadly, they all seem to be from nearly a decade ago. Fox just signed them up for 2 more seasons, but will they have any material left?

I feel so embarassed for instructors when they forward hoax e-mails to the entire school without checking their validity first. It really makes you look foolish, especially when you teach computer specific classes.
