This morning a pair of ring-tailed pheasants ran through our yard, and across the street. I wish I’d taken pictues.
I also had a premise for a book. The protagonist was a blind racist.
We walked Barley tonight to wear him out. On our walk, we saw a 3 bedroom house for sale. It had wood floors, a wonderful garden, and was only $215k. In the midwest, the house would cost 100k. Such is life.
But then you’d be living in the Midwest. I thought about you and your old website today when I was up at Ravens Roost today. Anyway, thanks to you and Michelle for letting Liz and me crash at your place and eat Michelle’s food and drink your beer.

When I had an apartment in your beloved Bellingham there was a boy ringneck who used to hang out in this vacant lot. He was there every year for three years, but I think he met different girls there every year with his honking abilities. Man he was loud, but very cool!
And don’t worry about house prices. Just make sure Michelle gets a high-powered lawyer job. We bought our first house in 1992 for $83k and I remember we couldn’t go out for a cup of coffee for a few years because we thought we’d default. Is moving to the Midwest worth it for lower home prices? I don’t think so.
